The 2010 (24th annual) London Bridge Seaplane Classic Float saw over 60 pilots participate in the event. Pilots and spectators gathered on the shores of Lake Havasu City to enjoy radio-controlled aircraft fight patterns from Lake Havasu State Park’s Windsor Four.
The event, hosted by Desert Hawks RC Club, draws a number of radio control pilots and viewers every year, according to club president David Rounds. Participants travel to Lake Havasu for the annual event from all across North America, including Canada, Michigan, Oregon, Wisconsin, Missouri, Arizona and California. The event is for the for-fun flying, and the RC pilots push the limits of their planes and flying skills.
Lake Havasus Windsor Four’s beach offered six stations for pilots, and were available to the participating pilots on a first-come, first-served basis. There weather was perfect for this event – as always in sunny Arizona.
