Playa Del Carmen, commonly known as Playa, is a beachside city on Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. Formerly known as Xaman-Ha, which means, ‘waters of the north’, the city offers a unique way of life. Mayan culture, gourmet food, and love for environment are an integral part of its life style. Playa is an international vacation spot and receives tourists and visitors from all over the world. There is a lot to do here along with many unique tourist attractions to visit.

Following are some of the top leisure activities and some must-see places on a vacation in Playa De Carmen:

Beaches: Playa is a beach lover’s dream destination and boasts of great beaches. Owing to the leisure activities one can get indulged into at its beaches, the place serves as the best vacation spot for tourists seeking relaxation. Playa is all about spending time on the beach, eating and drinking in-between shopping and lazing around. Moreover, the proximity of most of the hotels to the beach also makes it quite convenient for beach mongers.

Shopping is surely another must-do thing at Playa. The most popular place to be, in Playa, is the Fifth Avenue or ‘Quinta Avenida’ as the locals call it. There are several shops, eating joints, restaurants, hotels etc. along the fifth avenue.

Rocking Nights: One must visit any of the beachside bars here. The place becomes very lively at night, when all the bands start performing traditional Mexican, salsa, or reggae. The after hour clubs also have shows by fire dancers, bongo bands etc.

Archaeological Sightseeing: Playa offers a wide-range of unique experiences for being the home of Mayan culture. Thus, a trip to Playa De Carmen will remain incomplete, without a visit to Mayan ruin sites. They are located at many of these locations, Tulum, Xel-Ha, Coba, Punta Laguna, Valladoid, and Chichen Itza.

Xel-Ha also has a fresh water bay, merging with the sea that houses amazing sea creatures. This can amaze lovers of adventure sports like snorkeling and swimming.

Caves: Who can miss the caves and spring water cenotes, while in Playa? One such must visit location is Aktun Chen Dry Cave. They are stunning caves, under the ground having stalactite and stalagmite formations. The Mayans used these caves to protect themselves from extreme weather conditions.

Cenotes: There are magnificent fresh water cenotes at Aktun Chen Dry Cave, which also offers extremely unforgettable experience in the form of activities like, swimming, snorkeling, and diving.

Natural reserves: There are a large number of biosphere reserves like the Sian Ka’an Biosphere reserve with abundant flora and fauna. Then there are jungles like Punta laguna which boast of a large variety of animal life and Pac Chen Jungle where serving traditional Mayan meal. Xcaret is a Mayan Eco Disney world, where both the young and the old can enjoy.

Golfing is yet another activity that you must go for in Playa. Playacar is an expansive golf course, where tourists can play golf for an all inclusive fee.

Skydiving is available for adventure enthusiasts at Sky Dive Playa.

Find Escorted Playa Del Carmen Tours from Grayline

Thus, Playa Del Carmen has something for everybody. Visit the place for a fun-filled and memorable vacation. If your group is looking for one of the best Playa del Carmen Restaurants visit Wicky’s on the beach!

Many retail busines locations are gettiing the short end of the stick in these tough economic time. I can across a company that is helping small business owners grow and prosper despite the downturn. Instead of a story, how about we use an actual customer letter!

Here is a true story about growing your business in a poor economy from a business owner in Texas.

Dear Signtronix,

Although it hasn’t been 30 days, much less the 45-day period since we erected our new sign, we had to write you now and tell you what a tremendous difference our Signtronix sign has made in the professional appearance of our business!

Within one week, we had customers coming into our store for the first time who commented on how pretty our sign was and the fact that they hadn’t noticed us before! We are located on Main Street in this town of 13,000. Some of these people live right here in Gatesville and are business owners themselves and travel past our establishment daily. Our computer sales and service has increased by 700%! We are constantly busy!

The owner of the business next door has inquired about our sign too and we referred her to Signtronix and pointed out your 800-number at the bottom of our sign. I would like to tell you an additional “perk” regarding this sign. Because the sign is lighted 24 hours a day, it casts a wonderful glow onto our parking area and I feel much safer at night when I’m closing our store as well as in the early morning hours before daylight! It greatly enhances the feeling of security!

My husband and I would like to thank you for our Signtronix sign and for you courteous sales representative. He was efficient and prompt and accessible to us before, during, and after the sale. He truly is an asset to your company.

How alimony is calculated in California is different than the way many other things are calculated. For instance, California has what’s known as the California Child Support Guidelines which is an algebraic equation that figures the amount of child support based on some very specific numbers. There is no such equation for figuring spousal support. So in the absence of a set of specific guidelines, the amount of alimony calculated in California can vary from judge to judge based on everything from the attitude of the judge toward spousal support in general, to the facts of the particular divorce.

There are some very general guidelines that determine how alimony is calculated in California, and each judge should take these into consideration when coming up with an amount of spousal support. In general, the amount of spousal support depends on the reasonable needs of the spouse seeking support, along with the other spouse’s ability to pay. But other factors come into play.

Find help now with your California spousal support modification issue.

Financial Situations

Each spouse’s finances will be examined to determine how big a change is present between their financial situation before and after the divorce. Each spouse’s ability to earn an income and the potential amount of that income is also considered, along with each spouse’s age, education or training, and the likelihood of that spouse becoming gainfully employed and being able to fulfill his or her income potential.

In a California divorce the reasonable needs of both parties are considered. How much money would be required to keep each person living in the same standard of living is before is a factor, as is the age of each spouse and the higher earning spouse’s ability to pay to help the lower earning or unemployed spouse keep a certain standard of living without lowering his or her own standard of living.

Another factor that affects how alimony is calculated in California is each spouse’s employment, and whether not each has tried to find work within their potential. If the spouse seeking support has the potential to support himself or herself then he or she is expected to attempt at least partial self-support by finding work that’s available, for instance.

Income tax consequences are considered for both the spouse that would pay and the spouse that would receive, as well as the paying spouse’s ability to pay the alimony. The assets awarded to each spouse at the end of the marriage, any child support issues, as well as the length of the marriage are also factors.

Temporary Spousal Support

Temporary spousal support isn’t the same as alimony and isn’t necessarily figured the same way. When a marriage ends or the parties separate, the unemployed spouse might need some sort of emergency support until other arrangements can be made or until he or she can find employment. If the spouse hasn’t worked in years but has the ability to work and the court determines they have the potential to earn an income, then temporary spousal support awarded won’t necessarily figure into the final amount of alimony calculated in California. If it’s determined that the spouse can work, sometimes temporary spousal support can even be waived.

One of the most popular mountain resort towns in America is Breckenridge, Colorado. For decades, this quaint little Victorian-style village has been pleasing guests from all over the world, charming them with the style even as the mountain’s challenges thrill them. The mountains of Breckenridge have a special feel and flavor about them. They slopes are both dynamic and somehow immense and still , immovably powerful… adding to the alure for those who have chosen Breckenridge as a spot for this years ski vacations.

Even the most basic and easy of runs, the bunny slopes, have something more challenging just a short distance above them – right there, visible and tangible, calling upon you to improve your skills so that you can rise to that next level. And yet, somehow, even if you go too far up the mountain for your skill level, bite off more than you can chew, Breckenridge remains forgiving, seems willing to allow you to fail on your way to greater success.

Discover Breckenridge ski vacations including lodging, lift tickets and area activities.

Perhaps that’s a bit too abstract or assoteric, and yet there’s a special something that keeps people coming back year after year. Some of them even like the combination of excitement and calm stillness in this part of the Rocky Mountains enough to move to Breckenridge. While it’s as friendly as any tourist town should be, the friendly vibe isn’t the draw. Maybe it’s the town’s own steadfastness, the way that it continued on in its own way despite the mountain’s rise in popularity. Whatever it is, millions upon millions of people have visited this big mountain and its little town, and it has left its mark on them in return.

Not everyone goes to Breckenridge to ski. Some come for summer activities, some for the crisp, clean mountain air, some for the beauty… but it seems most end up skiing anyway. That too should tell you something.

From the front side and lower areas of the peaks, to the waist-to-shoulder deep powder that blankets the slopes after a good solid heavenly dump, to the back bowls, with their near-vertical precipices and thinly concealed hazards, Breckenridge is a mountain that simply demands to be explored by skis. In just one run, you can find yourself twisting, swiveling and turning your way through a mammoth field of bumps, enjoy a few moments of relief as your tips chatter and skitter at a popular crossing, and then launched into aerials that cause time to slow for you. Stop a moment, take in the beauty of the mountain you’re standing on as well as the one opposite, then glide on over to a gentle downward pathway that eases its way down and around the descent. Cut back to a sharper angle just in time to put on speed enough to carry you through to the lift, where you’ll ride up and do it again… but take different paths this time.

Perhaps it’s simply the many paths one can take and combine and follow that make Breckenridge a favorite ski vacation destination.

It looks like people are finally taking alternative energy seriously. A city in Florida is about to pass a law that requires the power company to buy back ALL solar-generated electricity, and to pay for it at 26 cents per kilowatt if the amount generated exceeds the cost of the monthly bill. This is a huge advance! There have been areas that required a buy-back, but it only rolled your meter back, didn’t generate any cash. This move could encourage people to make their roofs into a small home business, lower foreign fuel consumption and lower greenhouse gas at the same time! This is great solar energy news, and a great example to set from Florida!

But that’s not the only example Florida has set. It seems there’s a state law, a moratorium against offshore drilling. It may have been urged by their tourism, but it’s also pretty certain that the citizens of that state didn’t want to be having to worry about offshore oil rigs leaking or being torn up and ruining their shores. This is especially responsible since the waters off of the Florida Keys and on up into the Gulf Stream move swiftly north to Canada and then across the Atlantic to head back down to Scotland and the rest of the UK. Oddly enough, the Feds were pushing to do exploratory drilling, even though the State has made it unlawful, “just to see what’s there”, allegedly with no intent to actually drill. Yeah, right. Way to go, Florida! Keep ‘em at bay!
